3Com Slashes Palm VII Price by $100

Competition from Handspring is forcing 3COM to drive down the price of their Palms - before Visor is even shipping.

Effective today, the Palm VII, costs $499, down from $599.
Prices on less expensive Palm organizers also were cut, to as low as $179.
