The Race in 2000

The ZDNet Anchordesk has an interesting article that compares the Palm vs. WinCE debate and likens it to a political election. The race is over who will control the operating system that runs the cell phones, cars, toasters, etc. that are going to be wired for the Internet.

Palm is in the lead with endorsements by Nokia, Sony, and Handspring. Windows CE is lagging in the polls because of the loss of Phillips, Everex, and a host of others have lessened or dropped completely their involvement with WinCE.
