The Palm campus

Fri Sep 29, 2000 - 2:18 PM EDT - By James Hromadka

We already have a Microsoft campus, so it's time for a Palm one. Palm announced today details on its new location for its employees. From the press release:
[t]he company entered into a lease for approximately 39 acres of land for the new campus at the intersection of Highway 237 and North First Street in San Jose. Palm initially intends to build about 500,000 square feet of space on this land, which can support approximately 1.6 million square feet of construction. When all phases are complete, the campus will accommodate up to 6,000 employees within its 11 buildings. Ten office buildings of four to seven stories will house employee work and meeting spaces, and one additional building will house food services, an athletic facility and a company store.
