A real lifesaver |
I recently had to use this to restore all my data. Let's just say that my VDX accidently found it's way into a box during my move back to the states from Japan, and the HD on my computer crashed during the move as well. Luckily, I had this and now all is well. Now I just need to get a new HD...

Doesn't restore my most needed data. |
I sync my Visor Deluxe to Lotus Notes using Lotus EasySync ( works great! ). Whenever I attempt to restore from the Backup Module, my
data in DateBook, Address, To Do, Mail, and Memo Pad is trashed. All other applications and data restore correctly.

Backs up EVERYTHING |
There are a few programs for my visro that were beamed over from friends that don't get backed up during a hot sync. But this module backs up everything. I definitly recomend it.

A Must Have |
This one-step backup is ideal. There are many times when I am not near a computer, the backup module insures that nothing gets lost. I randomly test the restore function while at home (take out batteries, wait for a complete drain) and it has worked perfectly each time. There is one hint, only remove the module when the launcher screen is visible.

ESSENTIAL BUT DUDS HAPPEN |
Purchased 2, one for safe storage, the other with me in case of problems on the road. After first couple of backups, one stated BACKUP FAILED. On checking which was faulty, both showed BACKUP COMPLETED but both totally froze my Visor, only starting again after a soft reset. Unfortunately, all product runs have a few items that cause problems (defective chips???) and I am sure I will have working replacements V soon, because the concept is great and V essential.

I can't imagine not having the total security of my backup module. Not PC crash, nor Visor problem, nor dark of night can stay me now that I'm backed up whenever I want!
