Tiger Woods PGA

Wed Sep 8, 1999 - 9:30 PM EDT - By Anthony Vargas

Game Play

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR Golf lets you play as one of the top PGA Tour players. Users tee off at any of three PGA Tour courses and have the ability to compete against Tiger himself or choose between many other PGA Tour professionals. Game enthusiasts can choose between any of three levels of game play including Stroke Play, Tournament Play, and Quick Play.

The game utilizes a realistic set of variables that affect your performance and shots. The simulation accounts for wind conditions on the course, the ball lie and the distance the ball is from its destination. The game even lets advanced users select the appropriate club to use on each swing!

Conclusion

Playing is quite simple and very addicting. Even non-golfers such as myself can easily understand the simple 2D interface Electronic Arts presents. The graphics are done quite nicely, making the game stand out as a hot product for the PalmOS.

Currently, The Tiger Woods PGA TOUR Golf Springboard is available from Handspring and retails for $29.95.
