No Palm clone from Apple

Sun Apr 2, 2000 - 8:46 PM EDT - By Marcus Adolfsson

Mac OS Rumors is reporting that while "early reports of Apple's work with Palm Computing led dirt-dishers to believe the machine would run on Palm-derived hardware and run in the Palm's $200 ballpark; more recent information now suggests that the machine is a fully functional Mac OS X computer with a simplified UMA-2 chipset and PowerPC processor, with a retail price of $599."
