PalmsLostorStolen.com and The Signal, the first providers of comprehensive insurance specifically for the PDA, officially announced the immediate change or the company’s website name and URL to PDAsLostorStolen.com.
The change comes after great demand for insurance for the popular Pocket PC devices and The Signal’s dedication to meet the needs of all PDA owners. In addition to the name change, the website has been overhauled in response to the comments of the site’s customers.
"We decided to make the change to show how committed we are to servicing the entire PDA community, not just one brand," said Dale Fisher, President and CEO of Internet Marketing, Inc., the marketing arm for the insurance program. "The website changes seemed only natural given the amount of feedback we’ve solicited from our existing customers."
The insurance offering from The Signal is the first specialized PDA coverage and the only to offer protection to both Palm OS and Pocket PC devices. PDA owners can sign up exclusively through the website www.pdaslostorstolen.com. Coverage costs depend on the retail price of the PDA and range from $3.99 to $9.99 a month.
The insurance, similar to that for cell phones, covers against theft, loss or damage and offers owners replacement of their unit, usually shipped within 72 hours of filing a claim. The deductible for all claims is $35.
