Compact Flash software released

Tue Jan 30, 2001 - 8:27 AM EST - By James Hromadka

Kopsis, Inc. has announced the availability of its FAFileMover software. FAFileMover works in conjunction with a compatible FlashAdapter Springboard module to let users transfer applications and data between a Visor and a Compact Flash memory card. From the press release:
Owners of FlashAdapter compatible Springboard modules can now store dozens of megabytes of applications and databases on a memory card the size of a matchbook. Users can copy them over to their Visor's main memory when needed or back to the memory card to free valuable RAM quickly and easily - anytime and anywhere. In addition to the file mover program itself, the FAFileMover software package includes a CF card testing application and CF card formatting utility in addition to the driver software libraries that a shared by all FlashAdapter software.
FAFileMover is now available for $12. To obtain information on building your own FlashAdapter or purchasing one from Matchbook Products see the Kopsis website. VisorCentral will have a review of FAFileMover and the FlashAdapter within the next few days.
