Sega making games for the Palm OS

Wed Jan 31, 2001 - 5:13 PM EST - By James Hromadka

How many fingers am I holding? With Sega dumping the Dreamcast, it's time to work on a successful platform. According to this Reuters story, Sega will be developing wireless games for the Palm OS. Peter Moore, president and COO of Sega of America, has said the games would possibly be wireless so that consumers can pay-per-play or possibly a subscription model based on a "Game of the Week."

This could be one of the most significant developments in software on the Palm platform since Liberty was released. Should Sega be successful, we could see other game companies like Nintendo come into the picture. I can't wait to see Sonic the Hedgehog on the Visor Prism! Thanks to Eric Edwardson for the news item.
