Instead of discussing
what is wrong with this application, let me instead spin it a little to tell
you what I want from this application. I understand that these items may lend
more overhead to the application, but I am willing to give up a little more
storage to have these features.
•Zoom Features
- there are no zoom features for magnifying the images you create or that are
sent to you. I find it easier to edit what I draw if I have this ability. Also,
I sent myself some images that were minimized to fit the Visor screen by the
BugMe.net server. I would prefer that it appear in it's original size and allow
me to zoom in and out or "fit to screen."
•Scrolling
- what you see is what you get. The program only allows you to draw within the
confines of the screen. I would love to see a feature that allows me to draw
larger images and give me scroll bars to extend off the screen. There are many
sketches, such as drawing a map, where the map may not fit into the little Visor
Screen.
•Geometric
Pen Functions - Now I already discussed a few improvements that could be made
with the pen input, but another set of options I would like is the ability to
draw perfect lines and geometric shapes. One function I really loved with my
Newton was that it took any geometric shape I drew and made it look better than
my original. I would love to see support in BugMe! for straight lines, ovals
and polygons. If you look at my map on the side, you'll see why I need the help.
If you ever visit me in DC, you will see that this is an exact replica of the
Beltway (of course the rest of the map is pure folly).
•Additional
Thumbnail Options - I would love to see some additional ways to sort and display
thumbnails. For example, I would like an option that removed the functional
icons and made the thumbnails larger. Another nice way to sort notes would be
by the date they were created.
•Undo, Undo,
Undo - I need an undo function for the last pen stroke or whatever. I often
marked up an original note and had to start all over again to get it just right.
I am not asking for multiple undos, but one would make a big difference.
