Most reports, including our own experiences, indicate that there are no dangers letting your Visor being eaten by the X-Ray monster.

More Information

Most reports, including our own experiences, indicate that there are no dangers letting your Visor being eaten by the X-Ray monster.

However, X-Rays can cause data loss - it depends on the strength (frequency) of the bombarding rays. If they are of sufficent strength they can set up electromagnetic fields inside the visor which then can switch the binaries in ram. Most X-Ray machines are of low enough power that it doesn't hurt the Visor.
