There are two primary reasons for the bundle. The first is that Glenayre wanted to provide a complete solution in channels of distribution that Handspring has not established at this time.
The second reason is that Handspring worked closely with Glenayre to optimize the performance of the combined solution with Visor handhelds. While the @ctiveLink module works with existing Visor handheld computers, the @ctiveLink module might not perform optimally causing retransmissions on the wireless network. Typically the user does not see this interaction, though it can impact network traffic.
