MemoryStick and SD & MMC card adapter from MemPlug
Portable Innovation Technology announced that they are working on two new modules - a SD & MMC card adapter and a Memory Stick reader. Availability and price not know yet.
New CDPD Modem from Sierra
The CDPD modem from Sierra that we reported on last september has finally been announced. AirPath 300 is similar to Novatel Wireless' Minstrel S modem, but features a slimmer form factor and a removable hinged antenna.
WordSmith 2.0 from Blue Nomad
Blue Nomad released today version 2.0 of WordSmith, the venerable word processing application for the Palm operating system.
HandyGPS Pro from Nexian
Nexian today announced HandyGPS Pro, an updated version of their existing product. Featuring a slightly more streamlined case, the module comes bundled with either Rand McNally's StreetFinder® Deluxe 2001 or Nexian's UbiGo 1.5c.
Other added features include an external antenna, and a rechargeable Li-ion battery offering up to 10 hours of operation.
The module costs $199.99, and the price when bundled with the StreetFinder® Deluxe 2001 is $229.99.
However, Nexian is currently running a special on their web site where you can purchase the module with StreetFinder for $199.99.
MemPlug CF available
Portable Innovation Technology announced today the availability of the MemPlug™ CompactFlash (CF) adapter. This Springboard module allows Visor users to store up to 256MB of applications and data on a CF card.
The MemPlug CF is $49.95 and will also be available in retail stores beginning in July.
TT Tech announces two accessories
TT Tech announced today the SnapNType™ and SnapNPlay™ accessories for the Handspring Visor. The SnapNType is the first slide-in mini-keyboard for the Visor, and SnapNPlay is a game pad that has a "rumble pak" feature.
Hopefully Visor users will soon be able to play games like Dreadling and feel the action!
SpringPort Bluetooth
This fall Xircom will release the SpringPort Bluetooth Springboard module. The module is expected to be at the same price point as the Bluetooth SDDI card which is $149.
