Trade-In program from MatchBook Products

Wed Jul 11, 2001 - 6:44 PM EDT - By Marcus Adolfsson

MatchBookProducts today introduced a trade-in program that allows current MatchBookDrive owners to order a FlashPlus adapter at a reduced price, by sending in their old adapter for a trade-in. A unique feature of MatchBook Product's trade-in program is that customers can continue to use their current adapter until the FlashPlus Adapter arrives, then send the old adapter back. Customers must order by credit card. If they do not send the old adapter back within 30 days, the trade-in allowance is charged to their credit card.

MatchBookProducts will give a $10 trade-in allowance for the MD-001 (long) adapter and a $15 trade-in allowance for the MD-100 (flush) adapter.

Keith Hudson, the developer of the MatchBookDrive adapter, said "The FlashPlus adapter is so great, we wanted to make it available to as many people as possible. At the same time, we know how essential compactflash has become to many Visor owners, so we do not want them to have to go without an adapter for 10 days or 2 weeks while they wait for their new adapter. We think we have struck a reasonable balance."
