Terrorist Attacks
This morning, Dana and I were showering at a truck stop just an hour outside of Chicago. After my shower I walked over to the television in the lounge literally moments after the second plane smashed into the World Trade Center.
I am a mix of jumbled feelings, between tears, horror, shock, disbelief, and anger.
I urge all of you to get out to your local Red Cross, give blood, blankets, food, whatever you can offer to help those in need. If you think that you can't make a difference because you are sitting somewhere on the west coast or in the Midwest...you are wrong. Do what you can to help those in need by giving what you can.
Please go to our discussion boards and post the address of your local Red Cross or blood bank so others can get down there.
As you can imagine, I have cancelled the remaining VisorAdventure tour and we are heading home. It is too soon to mention any thoughts of completing the trip at a later date, but if and when that is possible, I will let you know.
If you live in NY or DC and are somewhere in Virginia and in need of a place to stay (since the cities are shut down), we should be home tomorrow and you are welcome to stay with us (we have family that can let you in). If you know someone who needs a place to stay and are on the road...please call them and let them know my home is open to you. Just work your way to Staunton, VA.
My Visorhone is 650 714 1218 and my home number is 540 885 9725. My email address is [email protected]. Whatever we can do, just ask.
