Memplug SD/MMC announced

Tue Jan 8, 2002 - 11:07 PM EST - By Michael Ducker

Completing the circle of five.

With the announcement of the new Memplug SD/MMC, Visor users now can use springboards, and the 4 major types of flash memory on the market; SmartMedia, CompactFlash, MemoryStick, Secure Digital, and MultiMediaCard (Can your PALM do that?!).

The new Memplug SD/MMC also comes with a built in vibrating alarm, 1 MB of onboard flash to store the seven applications that the Memplug comes with; PiBackup, PiDirect, PiMover, PiPrefs, PiViewer, PiVFSMgr, CspotRun, and gmovie 2.0.

Updates: The Memplug SD/MMC will be priced slightly higher than the Memplug SM and CF due to production costs. Also while an exact release date is unknown, it is in production currently.
