Mexico gets @ctive

Tue Jul 18, 2000 - 4:12 PM EDT - By James Hromadka

Visor users in Mexico will be able to take advantage of the Glenayre @ctiveLink also. Biper announced that the creation of a subsidiary, Movil@ccess, that will offer two-way messaging in the 3rd quarter. From the press release:
"Biper, in a first step, has installed the additional network services in the Mexico City metropolitan area and will have completed installation in the Guadalajara and Monterrey metropolitan areas before year-end, using Glenayre's ReFLEX 25 technology. Glenayre is the leading global provider of advanced messaging (two-way services) technology."
I think it's important that wireless service providers create Springboard modules that will work in international markets. It would be even better if a US @ctiveLink user could use the module while in Mexico. I may go to Cozumel again sometime.
