Optimized Content This is where the two really duke it out, showing off their value-added content. YadaYada has My.YadaYada.com which doubles as a standard web portal and a PDA-optimized portal. You can login to the My.YadaYada.com from your PC, customize it, and see the changes when you log in from your Visor.
OmniSky offers MyOmniSky , in partnership with über-content house InfoSpace and AT&T. OmniSky's Portal looks slicker, probably because InfoSpace is a fairly polished operation.
YadaYada's looks cheesy, but their configuration is MUCH more flexible, especially on the Web Site. If you are looking for a Portal that is integrated with your wireless web solution, either of these fits the bill. They both offer the typical portal fare, weather, maps, local news, etc. Both services are available one click away from the service start screen. I prefer OmniSky's combination of PQAs from existing sites like FoxNews and ETrade over YadaYada. Also, OmniSky's ScoutSync software automatically delivers updates to OmniSky's
hierarchical menu of service offering. OmniSky wins in the Content
Department.
