Prism & Platinum Visors announced

Sun Oct 15, 2000 - 10:18 PM EDT - By James Hromadka

Handspring has updated its website with information on two new Visors: the color Prism and the monochrome Platinum.

Prism Features:
  • 16-bit color (65,536 colors) active-matrix LCD
  • 33 MHz Dragonball V2 processor
  • 8 MB Memory
  • Cobalt blue
  • 4.8" x 3.0" x 0.8", 6.9 oz.
  • Palm OS 3.5.2H
  • Internal LiIon battery (2 weeks or 6 continuous hours)
  • $449 SRP
Handspring also has a page with several color apps such as AvantGo and Photo Album that are in color. The pictures look great -- I hopefully will be getting a Prism this week for review.

Don't want color but want something with a little more oomph? The Visor Platinum is 50% faster than the Visor Deluxe, has Palm OS 3.52H and uses AAA batteries. The Platinum comes in Silver and is $299. Both models are now available. Click here for the Visor product line.
