Resets the PalmOS constantly!! |
Maybe the unit itself works OK, but the software they provide is extremely buggy and will crash your Visor all the time!

WARNING TO MACINTOSH USERS! |
As currently shipping (September 2000) the MiniJam is NOT usable with the Macintosh running in native mode. InnoGear does not have any functional Mac software on their CD -- the only way to use their host computer software (a necessity, since that's the only way to download mp3 files to the unit) is to run Windows on the Mac (either via software or hardware -- I used Virtual PC 3.0 and it worked fine).
InnoGear says that full Macintosh support will be available soon, but history indicates that they have a little trouble estimating delivery times.

Good Player is the clear choice |
The Good player operates separately from the Visor. The portability (micro belt clip with 10 hour batter life from 1 AA)make it the clear choice. Anybody that can't see that is totally clueless.

Seems to well designed, with the user in mind.. |
What is looks good, but to do a real review I would need to use a unit for a while.

Excellent Product-Excellent Value |
At first I was a bit perturbed over the price of this module until I did a little research on the cost of the memory chip alone-EXPENSIVE. Getting everything packaged together was a real timesaver and was quite easy to load onto my computer, transfer existing MP3 files, and create my own (using included software). Well worth the money. My only negative is the flimsy leather case included in the package-I'll probably never use it-won't protect your Visor from a fall!

Superfunk make a good point! |
then that makes the minijam the clear choice over the soundgood....you get much more with minijam for less! Yes...I want music on my visor (no standalone has a GUI like that! skins and everything!) and I can use 2mb upgrade memory right away...cant wait for storage on the removable cards. Music, visor expansion memory, removable storage memory on one springboard? I would say that it is worth it! Good job Innogear!

Why spend so much for so little? |
The MiniJam costs more than the Visor itself, but can't run without it. It removes the ability to use your hard cover while it's in, and chews on your batteries which are maintaining your important data--do you want to further rely on computer backups? Wait for prices to drop, and in the meantime learn to play an instrument to make your own tunes.

YOU GUYS DID A GREAT REVIEW ON THIS! |
Based on this review alone, I am going to order myself an ICE MiniJam, and another Graphite one for my wife!
btw, was going to buy the SoundsGood, but the MiniJam is just soooooo much better and has so many more features! Plus its $10 less than the SoundsGood!
Thanks alot!
