The FlashPlus adapter is a Springboard module with built-in drivers and applications. It allows Visor handheld users to use the CF card to store and retrieve databases and applications.
To install, remove the slot protector and insert the module in the expansion slot. When the module is inserted applications on the module will appear in the launcher with a bullet next to the application's name. The FlashPlus module has three applications.

The best springboard for your Visor - Get it! |
8MB was inially more memory than I ever thought I needed until I got hooked on ebooks. I began to crave for more memory as I wanted to carry more than a couple of ebooks with me when I travel. Then I came across Flashplus while I was travelling in Japan and as a bonus, it was selling for a ridiculously low price of about $12. I didn't know about the VFS software until later and this has made Flashplus 10 times more useful esp for a Visor deluxe user like me who is stuck with OS3.1. Now I can make full use of VFS capable software. I am currently running SilverScreen to move most of my applications to the card and BackupBuddy VFS to store an entire backup of my Visor in the card as well. In other words, the FlashPlus now works as a memory expander as well as backup device at a price that is a fraction of the Flash and Backup springboards. If you are only going to buy one springboard for your Visor, this is it.

VFS Manager Errors - Hard Reset Req\\ |
Strange interaction going on here, I cann't seem to pinpoint it, but entire experience VERY unsatisfactory! Install Kopsis VFS: seems to install OK, but on first (and every) access:"FALib open err" Soft reset req'd, if I'm having a really bad day: hard reset req'd. MAY have something to do with HSpring's 4.0 Desktop update as I don't recall having this problem before. ALSO, (and even more disturbing) after installing VFS and 4.0, on hot synch, Windows blue screen:"USBVisor IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" Identical blue screen on FOUR systems: WinXP Pro, Win 2K Pro, Win 2K Server!!!Not very pleased with Kopsis or Handspring!!!

Plugged in for 80%+ of time |
Since I own EyeModule2 digital camera together with Prism free RAM became an issue to me. A lot of multimedia content requires lot of free space. Using FlashPlus allows me to be realy mobile - now I don't care how big is application or database. Some features:
- ability to use module's flash memory to store favorite applications (like JBBackup to restore after hard reset)
- excellent operation speed
- flush form factor
coupled with excellent support make it great product.

Wow! |
Almost totally transparent extra memory. The combo of FlashPlus and JackBack is unbeatable. Great springboard, phenomenal and continually developing software. Now, if software authors would just write their programs to read and write from/to CF, I'd be totally thrilled.

Software is very innovative |
Kopsis has showed good software can be written for the Visor platform. Adding the flexibility of CF cards is a must-have upgrade. Some automatic software backup functionality would be nice, but is also available elsewhere.
The hardware, well, is simple and easy. Innopocket came out with the FlashPlus just as I bought a CompactFlash Adapter, and although you can send $10 and your adapter via a slow boat to China, I think that's a little risky for a small product.

Great Product ...Support is second to none |
FlashPlus is great and very useful. Dave at Kopsis is awesome. He obviously knows what he is doing! Who say VFS on Palm OS 3.1 is impossible? Did I mention upgrades GALORE?

Love it! |
This is an easy to use product, although the instructions are pretty lame (there is no documentation on using CSpotRun, for example, or to tell you to delete any old FA products).
I am using it with a 64MB Mr. Flash cheapo card and JackBack- it is great having this tuff ready to rock- a back-up module, and a flash module- AND space for a huge library of documents too!

I don't have the flashplus yet, but will probably get it now that the VFS beta is out there. Good review! I was waiting for the VC powers-that-be to chime in before I bought another adapter to replace my matchbook. Now, as soon as Kopsis' VFS is released for real, let's see a head-to-head bewteen the FlashPlus and the MemPlug!!
