Excellent easy to use module! |
The ease and protection provided by the Handspring Backup Module makes it a "must have" item. The instruction manual for the module is almost non-existant because of its obvious ease of use. Just got it today and I loved it immediately.

Simplest way to backup |
Stupid-proof backup. Easy. Works. What more do you want?
Only complaint: I'm not sure, but it doesn't seem to backup built-in apps like ToDo and DatePad which sort of seems to defeat the purpose. But that's what Hot Sync is for.

Great little tool |
Wish I could get something this easy to use for my desktop PC. New to PDAs and Palm OS and have had to use the module several times (definately my fault) Found it simple to use, and indispensible.

Essential |
Every Visor owner should have one. I have not gone on any trips yet but was saved once at my desk after I installed a defective application upgrade that caused my Visor to reset every time I turned it on. Please note that you should change back to the launcher or another app before removing the backup module or you will get the reset error described by KGrate above.

Recommended, but..... |
The Backup Module is a very useful Springboard to have, but I have experienced a problem where, every time the Module is removed, my Visor Deluxe locks up (and has to be reset with a pin).
Handspring Technical Support claims this is because of some software on my Visor. I find this claim odd and convienent. I cannot spend all day figuring out which, if any, software is causing the problem, and Handspring doesn't have a list available (verbal or over the web) of offending programs.
