Flip-Clip is Great! Can't wait until I can get a Flip-Lid. |
The Flip-Clip is a great and Cheap Solution for a user friendly cover.
Yes the Palm III reproduction lids are not the best fit for the Visor.
All you have to rember is that the reproduction lids were not designed for the Visor but for the Palm III.
So give it a chance and use it until the release of the Flip-Lid which will be designed for the Handspring Visor.
I would recomend this product to everyone. It is cheap, easy to install and it is user friendly.

horrible lid |
I've been using one for a week now and it drove me so crazy that I had to take it off. I close the lid and it doesn't stay shut. I open the lid and it will drop closed. The lid doesn't sit flush when closed. I put my Visor in my purse and the lid is off by the time I take it out.
The clip is decent, but why spend $10 on a lid that can't even do what it is supposed to do?
I personally feel robbed, and I hope that Tactilis sends the Visor specific lids for free to everyone who wasted their money on these ones.

Cover curves outwards;( |
The part that clips onto the Prism works nicely and looks good. Unfortunately, the flip cover itself is curved (bowed) outward and leaves a huge space between the top and bottom of the Visor. The flip cover also feels flimsy. I've taken it off -- it's a good thing that it did not cost more...

Can't Wait!! |
This is what I've been waiting for. I can't wait for the Flip-lids to appear. It's easily affordable and for the Prism - a real godsend as the lid of Prism doesn't clip on the back!

It is worth $ 6.00 to protect a $179 to $499 item . I will gladly spend another $6-8 when the new lid is available.

Easy to install - High quality plastic |
In our family we have several items from the visor family. The Flip-Clip and cover worked well and matched a Visor Delux ice and the Visor Platimum. The Visor Prism was a litte snug and the colr was close enough. The Visor Prism is always wearing a Minstrel S. The Minstrel S does not interfer with the clip and cover, and all fit into the cradles without any problem.

Good protection at a great price |
I found the clip easy to install on the Prism, although the instructions claim that the clip will "snap" into place, I did not find that the case on the Prism. I wonder if this is because of the slightly larger form factor of the Prism.
It does work as promised, which is cool, as I use my MiniJam quite frequently and worry about replacing the generally unprotected screen.
I will order the Visor specific cover though. I think the fit is not great with the current setup. But you get what you pay for. I think most would agree that it's nice to see accessories out there that don't cost what the visor costs!

Good product, great price. |
I found the Flip Clip to be a reasonable solution for those who miss the ease of use of the Palm flip covers. While the Palm reproduction cover doesn't exactly mimic the shape of my Handspring, it is pretty close.
The Flip Clip itself fits fairly snugly. I am a little rough with my Handspring, so I chose to use a little piece of double-sided Scotch tape on the inside of the Flip Clip to hold it super snugly. It's transparent, non-permanent, and helps keep it solidly in place. Since the Flip Clip doesn't interfere with any of my modules (Backup Buddy, Glenayre Active Link, Mini Jam), there's no need to take it off.
Finally, in a world where PDA and cellphone accessories sell for way more than they are worth (it IS-after all-only plastic), I thought the price was very fair.

Palm III Cover is horrible with the Visor |
I was excited to recieve my flip cover, but then was dissapointed when I installed it. The Palm III cover that it currently comes with is pretty poor for use with the Visor. There's so much air-gap between it and the Visor, it seems to bow when you push on it. It doesn't seem like adequate protection. I would recommend waiting until the version that fits the Visor comes out. Back to the snap-on lid for me until then.
