WAS going to say "I liked it" |
but my second one just broke - and after the hassle I went through to get this replacement (the one that just broke) I don't think I'm even gonna bother trying to get a new, new one...
getting a replacement required me to order and pay for a new one, then ship the broken one back (at my own expense). I even had to order it directly from Handspring (which is a problem all by itself because I have a VISA debit, not credit card and Handspring don't let you use debit cards). So now, if I want a new one, I have to call them, get an RMA number and send the broken back (on my dime), order a new one from them (shipping on me again...) WAY too much hassle - it's really a shame, because if it didn't keep breaking I would've recommended it - if they'd use metal or better plastic so it wouldn't break I definitely would recommend it (sorry, climbing off my soapbox now).

Too flimsy |
The clip flew apart the very first time I attempted to sit down while wearing this thing. That left me with no confidence in it at all - which was why I admittedly didn't even try to reassemble it.

Flimsy |
The basic ergonomics of it worked well for me. My Visor didn't slip out, it rode comfortably on my hip, etc. However, because it rode on my hip, it would get bumped and jostled and the clip broke within two months.
Get something with a cloth loop, or maybe a swivel-clip, instead.

clip doesn't hang on to belt tight enough |
The end of the clip that hooks around to keep it from sliding off of your belt isn't as effective as other clips I've used. The sides are curved so that the hook part is really only a crescent shape. This allows the hook to slide off when the device is rotated sideways on the belt. I've had the holder rock sideways on my belt and come unclipped more than once. Once it was while clearing the snow off my car (my coat must have pulled it off without my noticing it while I was reaching over the windshield). It landed in the soft snow without a sound, and I retrieved it during the spring thaw where the snow plows had piled up the snow from the parking lot. Needless to say, it was trashed, but at least handspring replaced the visor(albeit not the beltclip) under warrenty.

No Broken Clips Here |
I was suprised to read the negative comments about the belt clip. I have worn it almost every day since April, sitting, walking, driving, etc. and the product has worked wonderfully.

Don't listen to naysayers... |
They were smoking crack. This thing rocks.
"The clip is flimsy" Maybe if you are Andre the Giant.
"When I reach for it I sometimes pull the springboard cover off" Umm, no, perhaps you should lift from the bottom instead of pulling on the cover.
"It's made of cheap materials" It's black, hard, and fits on your belt, were you expecting titanium?
"It broke when I sat down" Do you have a fat ass? I'm 6' and 245lbs, so not exactly "thin" and I have no problems sitting in my car, office chair, folding chair, SUV seat, ride seats at amusement parks, etc etc etc...
This clip is very efficient, very simple and very uncostly. I highly recommend it.

It clicks? Mine doesn't. |
In fact.. up until now I didn't know that it should lock in place. Mine slips out too easily and at the worst times.. like driving, sitting on a bus.. etc.
Handspring missed the boat here.

Nice but fragile |
Used mine for a month. Very comfortable but clip broke when climbing out of the car. I'm now using a Palm beltclip case - much better.

Clip broke |
Mine fell apart while I was walking,
dropping my Visor onto a concrete floor.
I was very lucky that no damage occured
to my Visor.

Nice BUT, unprotected |
I use the slipper case from www.ebcases.com and it is much better in the real world.
