Good option with no frills |
Although not a perfect case due to the velcro and semi-functional zipper part, it is a good option for now considering the price and functionality.

awesome; part of the Prism, not a pain! |
Had one on my Visor, which my husband now uses as his "brain" since I moved up to the Prism... and the slipper case was my first purchase for it... absolutely a must!

It does what it says |
So many of the complaints here are that 'it does not protect' or that it 'has no room for modules' or (hard to believe this one) it has velcro.
If you read the product description, all of these things are well described. Why any thinking human being would buy a case with velcro when they hate velcro just amazes me.
For the rest of the complaints, here is a simple physics lesson. You can have slim or you can have padding.
I pretty much agree with the visor central review. I am new to PDAs and downsizing from a paper organizer. I wanted slim, and EB does the job.
This is an updated version of the slipper that addressed complaints by earlier reviewers. I was just ready to take my lumps and buy the earlier slipper when this one hit the market. I am glad I delayed those extra few days.
So far so good.

Inexpensive and good looking |
If you don't like the velcro just get a snap
It adds nothing, just prevents people
from complaining.

Black on Backorder Do not Believe the (In Stock) status on Web Site. |
Well as I said yesterday I ordered my slippercase (Black) Very excited since the web site shows they have it *In Stock*.
Today I got my order confermation and discovered it was on a 10 business day backorder! WHAT!! I went back to the web site (www.ebcases.com) and checked again. It shows (IN STOCK).
Feeling that this was misleading I called and talked to their customer service. The responce was Yes, It is in stock but the color black is on back order. I wanted to share this info with my fellow Prism users who might not want to wait like I have to for a product that I was lead to believe was in stock and would be in my hands in 3 to 5 business days.
Come on EB get you web site up to snuff. How hard is it to assign a diffrent part number to the diffrent color cases and show the availiablty that way. The way it is now could be almost taken as faulse advetising. Being I was led to believe one thing but actually was anothers after you got my credit card number.
I will still wait and evaulate the product but as of now I am not very happy with EB as a company.

Slipper Prism - great case |
For my review on the E&B Slipper (including photos), see: http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?s=93810198a763cc303122d033dfd1ac08&threadid=11052&pagenumber=2
Or I've included the text below:
I have the E&B slipper for my Prism (without the belt clip). After reading the reviews, I was sold that this was the case for me.
PROS -
* fits like a glove, very clean and professional looking
* perfect fit first time using it - they improved on the old velcro - they added a full strip running nearly the entire width of the case (at the bottom). It isn't very loud at all (bigger loops) and holds the cover in place nicely.
* can synch with case on (although you have to do a little work by unzipping it and pushing the case up slightly)
* removed plastic covering the buttons
* IR unobstructed
* power button, microphone, and reset button accessible with case on
* compatible with Stowaway keyboard
* stock stylus easily accessible
* standard size modules work perfectly (those that stick out from the top can be used with the case open)
* E&B logo is not so large or ugly that it takes away from the overall look
* quality appears very good - and case shipped to me in three days!
CONS -
* difficult to find the reset hole with case on (but when unzipped, the reset hole is accessible)
* must unzip and move case slightly to put in cradle and on Stowaway - sometimes makes it slightly more difficult, but certainly not that big an issue
* might not work with the aftermarket styli that protrude from the case - you have less than a 1/4 inch of clearance on the top
* probably doesn't afford the most protection in a fall (I had a Ti Slider for my VDx which is bombproof). But protects the screen reasonably.
* power button difficult to access with finger (unless you have longer fingernails - I use my stylus to power it on)
* forget about oversized modules
* no hole for the blinking charge light - however, you can see it because you have to move the case slightly out of the way
I think it is a fantastic case. I know that I'm a little more careful when handling my Prism now though. But I would definitely recommend this case.
As for the velcro with the E&B - it is not the typical velcro that you're probably thinking of. The sound when opening is very short and not loud at all. While the velcro (hook & loop) surfaces are close to 2" long, the loops are thicker than typical velcro you'd find on gloves, kids shoes, etc. This creates less "bite" between the surfaces and therefore you don't get that long, drawn out "rrrrrriiiiippppp". But it keeps the cover closed nicely. I'm sure E&B explored many velcro options before settling on this one.

Not Bad |
I like, but don't love, this case. The leather is nice, but not as nice as the Vaja case (which in many ways is quite similar). That said, the Vaja is more expensive, so you get what you pay for. For those of you who also have the Levenger leather case for the Stowaway (and care about such things), the brown slipper leather matches it quite closely.
In terms of protection, I wouldn't care to drop my case in the Slipper. The padding is very thin - the trade off you get with a slim case, I suppose. The flap does appear to provide decent protection for the screen.
The beltclip seems somewhat inferior to the Vaja model as well - it isn't as smooth to operate, and the nub sometimes hangs inside the little notch. Perhaps that's just a flaw in my particular case/clip combo. Interestingly, the nub on this case works perfectly with the Vaja belt clip.
On the whole, I like this case. It's not perfect, but I doubt the "perfect" case exists. It's currently my primary case.

Sweet |
I ordered it. well see if it sux or not.
Heck I have a nice collection of cases as it is.
Hopefully this will be the one. However the comment about the Dropped and Broken Visor scares me.
