Samsung Wireless Internet Cable by Gomadic

Visor to Samsung Wireless Internet Cable

Finally, a way to wirelessly connect your Handspring Visor to the Internet without having to buy an expensive Wireless card and associated monthly service fee (ie. Omnisky, etc).
Using this unique one-piece Visor to Samsung Wireless Internet data cable, you can connect your Handspring Visor series handhelds to a Samsung CDMA digital phone. This is ideal for wireless email and web browsing. This cable enables you to access the web using the minutes included in your monthly service fee of your cell phone. You don't need to pay an additional service provider! This cable is only 6 inches long and enables the user to fit the phone and PDA comfortably in one hand in a back-to-back configuration.

This cable is custom built and is not available in any stores. THE ONLY OTHER METHOD TO ACCESS WIRELESS NETWORKS WITH YOUR VISOR IS VIA THE EXPENSIVE WIRELESS CARDS AND A MONTHLY WIRELESS ACCESS FEE.

Easy setup and really works
Followed the directions on the Gomadic web and it was running in under 5 min. with no problem... no extra software needed. Seemed like a good option until the price of the Digital Link from Sprint drops in price.

I really like it.
I use the cable, which I bought from thesupplynet.com, every day. I use SprintPCS as my cellular provider and pay only $5/month for "wireless web". At 14.4 kbps it is slow, but the speed is fine for text-based browsers like Eudora.
