Great idea, quality needs work |
The eyemodule pictures are barely visible on the Visor and are relatively worthless on the computer screen. No detail, etc. In addition, I've had technical problems after loading and hot synching the Visor with EM with my PC. So, in general, I would say don't risk it, there's not a lot of value right now. But its really cool!

Okay |
I would say its pretty cool but has poor resoultion. It is more show than functionality

It's neat! |
It's not a hi-res digital camera. My real digital camera is far superior in image quality. BUT, I have a wonderful time with my eyemodule! I use it for quick images at work, and I use it for neat images at lunch. I use it to record people at meetings from time to time. It blows people away when I pull it out and use it, so there's the 'aren't I cool' factor too.
But, overall, not expecting it to be a digital camera, I have a lot of fun with it.
I recommend it.

I should be a salesman for Handspring |
EVERY time I use my eyemodule, EVERYBODY is amazed. I have to go thru the full demo. Sure has it's quirks. But it's always in my pocket for those "Kodak moments" when you usually don't have a camera handy.
No more buying those little disposable cameras. No more waiting for film to be developed.
Now I can e-mail the pix or post them to my website immediately for all to see.

Definitely A Cool Thing!! |
The pictures come out just like the ones at www.eyemodule.com. Once you get the knack of knowing what "good lighting" is for this module, it works as advertised.
A bulkier module with its own battery might have made for better image quality and no power concerns.

Wow |
I was honestly amazed by the image quality that this little camera can give. Sure, its not the same as a more expensive camera or even normal 35mm, but its so efficient and small it just blows me away. I don't know what these other guys are talking about mine works great and takes superb photos.

Immediate Gratification |
Quite a nifty toy. I went out for dinner with my cousins and took a few pictures for my parents in another country. I wouldn't drag along a full-size digital camera just to go out to dinner, but I had it on me because it was attached to my Visor.
As a camera of opportunity rather than a camera of planning, I highly recommend it.

But not as a replacement for a real camera |
Picture quality could be a lot better, but still it's kind of fun to show to people and watch their eyes bug out.

for fun, not for Professional Photos |
I like this toy. It's fun for doing stuff like this:
http://larryncelia.home.mindspring.com/casey/movie/at_the_mall.gif
a quick animation I made with several eyemodule images, and about 15 minutes worth of self-instruction.
bottom line, it's FUN!
(and yes, I work at IDEO so I'm biased)
