A treat |
Use this keyboard with WordSmith, and you have the smallest portable real word processor anywhere. A treat!

Another nail in the laptop's coffin |
As soon as I get a Springboard modem, the laptop stays at home. Next to my 8MB Flash module, it is my most used accessory. I am trying to figure out how I got along without it.

It works, it's small, and it beats graffiti. |
The keyboard is simply amazing.

If you write memos, you must have! |
While I find it a bit awkward to use my Stowaway in most applications, for writing memos, it's a must!
I was a bit wary about docking my VDx to the Stowaway after I read the reviews, but I didn't need to be. The fragile looking pins are no hindrance after a little practice.
I might wish for more screen control from the keyboard, but that's an OS issue, not a Stowaway issue.
I was not one to make good use of the memo feature of the Visor, but the convenience of the unit, combined with the utility of WordSmith software (obtained elsewhere), has rekindled my freelance writing fire. I expect to do a lot more writing on airplanes, now!

It just works |
and it's a fabulous example of nice mechanical engineering. I love it alone for the fact how neat everything is, and how wonderfully intricate the mechanics are..
Ohh - it's a good keyboard as well - nice, tactile feedback, not the squishy, rubbery feel you have on your average PC keyboard these days

What are you doing without this?? |
I cannot express how happy I was to obtain one of these when they first came out. As a very fast typist who missed having the ability to reply to emails while away from the computer, I lauded the coming of these portable keyboards, and Targus takes the cake. Small, ruggid, (while collapsed), with more than enough keys and extra functions I doubt I'll need a laptop soon. And with Blue Nomad's WordSmith, I'm yet another step closer to ditching the laptop.
Drawback: If you're not careful, the tabs that latch the keyboard shut can and will bend, making it unclosable. I did it once, and luckily got it replaced.

Great Bond Factor... |
and more useful than activating an oil slick while being chased by your enemies.
The Stowaway Keyboard has single handedly made the Visor my most valuable business tool to date.
In meetings, seminars and lectures, nothing beats typing in notes on my little Visor.
I'm not one to gloat, but I do feel bad for those poor guys lugging around their laptops...

Excellent Product! |
I use my keyboard in class and during meetings at work. I find can pay full attention to the lecture and still type word-for-word if I want. Complaints: The TAB should work as a TAB, not a field-switcher. It should lock in the open position and be a little more sturdy when open. Small student desks sometimes don't support the whole thing. Also, it doesn't seem to work with TextPlus Anywhere enabled. Hmm.
