The MemoryAccess module combines 2 MB memory expansion with silent alarm functionality. So not only can you safely and easily store applications and data with the extra memory and included File Mover application, you can also practice high handheld etiquette by silencing those sometimes annoying alarms.
Just set your handheld to a visual LED alert, or one of three vibrating alerts any time those chirps and beeps aren't appropriate—like movies or meetings. Added bonus—you can even use the vibrations and flashing LED to add the illusion of rumbles, thuds and explosions to games.

A practical, if expensive solution |
In the boardroom I sit at the far end of the long oak table. My Platinum (Palm OS v. 3.5.2H1.5) needs to be sensible. While the CFO can have an alarm to the tune of "I Have Spurs That Jingle Jangle Jingle" a simple light or vibration works for me. This unit, v. 1.1, performs that function admirably. The only caveat is to remove the unit from the Visor before syncing. Otherwise the Visor won't sync System info. (That gem is buried in your sync log - the Visor reports the sync OK). I also recommend using Duracell Ultra 3M batteries.
