Visor Neo
by Handspring
>>
Read Review (Rating 3/5) <<
With a slick clear case, a fast processor, and 8 MB of memory, the Visor Neo is the best value all around. The Visor Neo comes with a cradle, metal stylus, and a ahrd cover cover. It has a Springboard expansion slot, and has special software exclusive to Handspring models.

99$ at Target |
I just picked up a brand spanking new Neo at Target (or Tar-chez) for only $99! It is my first PDA and I figured I can't go wrong at that price. So far so good -- I like it.

praise |
I intended my previous review to be a praise. Apologies.

Good machine, could improve colors |
I totally love my Neo. I've installed a lot of programs, entered hundreds of addresses and it's still crying for more!! I really can't compare the speed to other handhelds, but I can't complain of the Neo being sluggish. My only complaint: wish there were more color options, including some non Mac-like. It would be nice to have black and silver too, say for the more serious people, or those who want to look more professional

Absolutely Recommendable |
I have been using Deluxe for sometime. It is great. However, Neo comes with the much needed OS 3.5 which support 16 grey scale instead of the 4 grey scale of Deluxe. For the price, Neo is certainly a good buy.

An update to THE legend |
I know the Neo isn't much of an upgrade from the Deluxe, but it's only $30 more, so it shouldn't really be. However, it's faster, has new features, and I can trust that it will work with all Springboard modules (I was mad when I heard the Deluxe couldn't handle OmniSky, etc.). It is essentially the Platinum in a better case, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. :)

If my blue Visor Deluxe ever breaks... |
...I'd get one of these. Very nice replacement for a very nice tool.

Good update! |
Same thing that I said for the Pro, it is a good update to an aging product. Probably even more so than the Plat - Pro and from the pictures I like the colors too.

Excellent Low-end |
I plan to buy this instead of a vdx. Its updated software and look (which is important!) makes me want this more than the Vpl.

This is what the VDX should have been |
I think Handspring has realized that its best seller the VDX fails in many ways including the old OS 3.1, cheap casing, slow processor, small hardware bottons, etc. I would never buy a VDX neither recommended. I guess this is a great PDA for novice users. This is really the way to go for low budget users like teenagers.

Stop the madness! |
I'll never get over people who don't see the benifit of an
entry level model. Not every PDA owner needs/want color, music
or other bell and gadget. This is a great little unit for the person
who just wants a PDA. Get a life -color is grand but, not needed on every
unit.
