As expected |
As I always travel with my Visor, I will always have a "camera" ready to take a quick pic. Is it a high quality digital camera, no, but if I compare cost/picture quality to digital cams on the market today the eyemodule has decent quality at it's price point.
I'm happy with mime :-)

Love it! |
Just got my eyemodule today, and I love it! It's EASY to use, the pictures were as good as advertised, and the transferability to the desktop is simple. Another nice feature of the package is the fabric eyemodule slipcase with drawstring... a welcome touch for those of us with Handspring cases. This is the first true Springboard - the first one that shows how flexible and versatile the Visor can be. 10 out of 10.

The best gadget I've ever bought! |
The eyemodule is an amazing gadget. It makes a fantastic productivity tool into a versatile camera. Image quality isn't important to me. What is important is portability and convenience and this does it.
Well done Ideo and Handspring.q

Not bad for a first effort... |
I like the idea of the module. The pictures aren't the best quality, but it's a cool feature.
But I'm waiting for some modules with substance! Give me wireless or give me Palm. But I REALLY want to hang on to my Visor.

Tease! |
Sorry - I keep trying, but I just can't fall in love with this little module. Nice form, but no substance. Dim and too expensive for my taste!

eyemodule delivers |
I don't know what the complaints are about. Personally, I'm thrilled to have a mini-cam that I can pull out of nowhere that can produce images, even if they are a tad grainy. The price, at $149, is a fraction of the cost of a digital camera. For the first real module, I think we've got ourselves a winner!

I've found many ways to use this, picture is not the greatest but can you believe what this thing does in the first place.

Great Idea! Very Bad Picture Quality! |
I am anxiously awaiting a really COOL springboard module. This one I was really anticipating! After using it for a few days and trying everything in my power to improve the picture quality, I have packed it back in the box and sent it back to PalmGear! The pictures it produces are VERY blurry and grainy. If I wanted a cheap Digital cam for $150.00, I would have bought just that. I want a quality product that can produce good picures. I'm not expecting pictures equal to that of a 35mm camera! Just pictures that I can identify the people I took them of! And just a hint to someone who decides to improve upon the Eyemodule concept, try making a device that not only takes pictures, but stores them also. My Visor is darn near full of software and data. If the camera module stored the images, it would make for easier management of the memory on my Visor! I would like to avoid swapping pictures around to the Flash Module and back to the Visor to transfer them to my computer. I look forward to an upgraded version of the Eyemodule. I think it can be improved upon quite a bit. Even if it has to cost a little more.

Money to Burn? |
The Eyemodule elicits great comments when you show it to friends and coworkers -- until they see the pictures! Then I have to keep explaining how it's "better than nothing". And "good for when you just want a quick blurry snapshot" , etc. etc.
I guess it's OK as a throwaway item if you've got money to burn and have a good digital camera at home as well.
